As a manufacturer that develops, designs, manufactures, and provides services for a wide assortment of electric wires for the electrical and electronic industries, as well as transmission and broadcasting equipment, medical tubes, etc., HIRAKAWA HEWTECH CORP. promotes environmental management activities based on a Basic Environmental Policy and an Environmental Action Guidelines.

Basic Environmental Policy

HIRAKAWA HEWTECH CORP. is aware that the preservation of the global environment is the most important common task of mankind, and acts accordingly, paying attention to the preservation of the global environment in all aspects of our corporate activities, as one of our corporate management imperatives.

Environmental Action Guidelines

  1. We maintain ongoing awareness of environmental aspects throughout our activities, products, and services, and along with promoting prevention of environmental pollution, we aim to continuously improve our environmental management system.
  2. We follow national, municipal, industry, and customer-set laws and regulations within the limits of the technologically and economically feasible and we set our own voluntary standards as we dedicate ourselves to environmental preservation.
  3. Along with creating environmentally friendly products, we work to reduce the use of substances that harm the environment, from development to manufacturing, use, and disposal.
  4. In addition to actively carrying out resource-saving and energy-saving activities from product development to manufacturing and sale, we promote scrap collection and recycling.
  5. In order to achieve this environmental policy, we set environmental objectives and targets based on the characteristics of the company on a whole and each site, perform environmental education and enlightenment activities, ensuring a high level of awareness and cooperation among all our employees. Moreover, we periodically evaluate and revise our objectives and targets as we aim to always maintain or improve our performance in this area.
