Using a power supply cord certified in the U.S. (UL/CSA) for an electrical device intended for use in Japan constitutes a violation of the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act. Do not use a power supply cord certified in the U.S. (UL/CSA) for an electrical device intended for use in Japan. In Japan, only power supply cords compliant with the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act may be sold and used.

Using a power supply cord certified in China (CQC) for an electrical device intended for use in Japan constitutes a violation of the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act. Do not use a power supply cord certified in China (CQC) for an electrical device intended for use in Japan.

3:
Do not use a power supply cord designed for overseas use for an electrical device intended for use in Japan.

Our conversion plugs (adapters) made in Japan or China have JET HEWTECH indicated on them pursuant to the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act. This indication of “HEWTECH” means that we (HIRAKAWA HEWTECH CORP.) are the manufacturer (in the case of Japanese-made products) or the importer (in the case of Chinese-made products) under the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act. If you import our conversion plugs (adapters) from abroad, whether bundled with other equipment or not, with this indication intact (here, the term “import” may also refer to reverse import of Japanese-made products from abroad or reimport of Chinese-made products), you will be deemed the importer under the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act. In that case, you are required to have your importer name (e.g., your company name) indicated on our conversion plugs (adapters) that you import. Note that if you import and sell our conversion plugs (adapters) with JET HEWTECH indicated on them, you are the importer under the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act and may be held accountable for a violation of this act.
