・The polishing type is AdPC polishing.
・We also handle processing other than the connectors listed.
Polishing type Insertion lossdB Return lossdB Features
Plane 0.7 The tip of the ferrule is ground to a flat surface. A minute gap occurs between the fibers, causing loss due to Fresnel reflections.
PC 0.5 25 The tip of the ferrule is polished into a convex spherical surface. Since the fibers are in direct contact with each other, the characteristics are improved compared to flat polishing.
SPC 0.5 40 Polishing is performed by removing the work-affected layer from PC polishing, and the characteristics are improved.
UPC 0.5 50 It has further improved characteristics than SPC.
APC 0.5 60 In PC polishing, the ferrule tip is processed at an angle of 8 degrees.
*Cannot be connected to a PC-polished connector.
* There are two types of ferrules: step type and conical type.
Flat PC 0.5 25 The ferrule is polished to a flat surface, and only the fiber is polished to a convex spherical surface. Applies to MTRJ connectors.
*SM fiber (wavelength: 1.31, 1.55 μm)

Plane 0.7 The tip of the ferrule is ground to a flat surface. A minute gap occurs between the fibers, causing loss due to Fresnel reflections.
PC 0.3 25 The tip of the ferrule is polished into a convex spherical surface. Since the fibers are in direct contact with each other, the characteristics are improved compared to flat polishing.
*MM fiber (core diameter/cladding diameter: 50/125, 62.5/125, wavelength: 0.85, 1.31 μm)
