Surface Markings on Electric Wires
UL and CSA certified wires have the information stipulated by each standard displayed on the surface of the wire.
However, it may not be displayed on products that are difficult to print, such as fluororesin wires or wires with a thin outer diameter.

6) CSA certification number (CSA certified products only)
7) CSA product classification (CSA standard certification) Only certified products)
8) Rated temperature and rated voltage
*However, the product may be omitted if the rated temperature and rated voltage are not required by the standard.
2.Major display symbols and their meanings
AWM |
Abbreviation for Appliance Wiring Material. |
AWG |
An abbreviation for American Wire Gauge, it is a symbol (unit) that indicates the thickness of a conductor. |
VW-1 |
It can be displayed when passing the UL Standard Vertical Wire Flame Test. |
-F- |
This mark is given to products that have passed the vertical burning test and have been registered. |

Means internal use as specified in CSA Standard C22.2 No.210. |
II |
Means external use as specified in CSA Standard C22.2 No.210. |
