About UL/CSA Wire Standards
At UL, various internal wiring materials and inter-equipment connection cables are collectively called AWM (Appliance Wiring Material), and a style number is given for each rating, structure, and application. UL758 is applied to products in this category, and the style page of the standard shows the wiring material structure, rated temperature and voltage, conductor size and material, covering material and thickness, shielding and It also includes a description of the cover (jacket), UL reference standards used for product evaluation, required markings, intended use, etc. CSA issues standards (see the table below) for representative electric wires, and specifies their type names, structures, applications, etc.
The wires that can be used in common with UL/CSA and their applicable safety standards are as follows.

cUL standard (Canadian standard certified product)
The use of the cUL Mark is permitted for products that have received safety certification for Canada from a UL agency. MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreement) mutual recognition between CSA and UL is equivalent to CSA certification, and in Canada it is treated as equivalent to CSA standards.
